In Japan, Sakura is a time to celebrate Spring and a new beginning. Friends and family gather underneath the blossoming cherry trees to eat, drink and be together.
Just in time for the flowers to bloom, we are releasing a limited-edition coffee SAKURA, in collaboration with artist Chika Higashi. And just like Sakura, this coffee is only available for a limited time.
This coffee is grown by many smallholders, most of them growing on small plots under 1 hectare. The coffee cherries are brought to the Qoree washing station in the Gera district, Djimma region of Ethiopia. It is a washed process coffee, carefully dried on raised beds under full sun for 14-18 days. The result is delicious tasting notes of floral, plum and brown sugar sweetness with a delicate dry acidity.
