With a reputation for producing top-tier specialty coffee, the Apeneca-Ilamatepec region of El Salvador is the largest coffee-producing region in the country, home to the Himalaya farm. 

With the country’s highest active volcano (Santa Ana) nearby, this region possesses some of the most fertile soil in Central America. Growing strictly bourbon variety, Himalaya’s organic coffee is shade-grown between 1,500-2,400 masl on a farm that has been family-run for over 150 years.

    Our latest Coffee Galaxy addition comes to us from the famed Apeneca-Ilamatepec region in El Salvador.

    Shade-grown and natural-processed, our producer Sonia believes traditional, organic farming practises keep the coffee’s flavour pure, and with delicious notes of white peach, cream and light mango in this natural-processed lot, it’s hard to disagree with her.
