A delightfully sweet red bourbon from Maraba and the Sovu washing station. One of Rwanda’s original coffee co-ops, this remarkable micro-lot delivers sweet, clean, and juicy flavours in every cup. 

Sovu has consistently earned accolades, including several Cup of Excellence awards, for its outstanding coffee of exceptional quality. 

EMPOWERED WOMEN, EXCEPTIONAL COFFEE
Our Rwandan Women’s Coffee Series showcases a selection of the best women-owned micro-lots from producers who have pioneered the rebuild of the Rwandan coffee industry.

This special micro-lot was produced using coffee cherry from 34 women farmers who own and grow coffee on small farms in the hills surrounding Sovu Washing Station. The women are members of the Abizerwa, meaning 'trusted people' Women's Group, a women-led alliance within the Abahuzamugabi Ba Kawa Maraba Collective.

Following the country’s devastating past, these producers have led the regeneration of coffee farming, creating economic opportunities and improving quality through training, infrastructure, and collaboration.
